While there are many users just like me, who had the problem that their drive wasn`t detected by the bios, I searched and found a solution.

This is a quick post to help users who are having trouble getting their Samsung F3 Spinpoint drives working with their P67 or SB850 chipsets. Symptoms of this problem might be:

• Clunky or loud drives
• Poor performance
• Drive not detected in BIOS

Official statement from Samsung:
This patch code is released in order to solve the compatibilty problem between some mainboard (AMD SB850 chipset and Intel P67/H67 chipset) and our HDD (F3 and F3EG model only).
This patch program works only to:

• F3     (HD323HJ / HD502HJ / HD503HI / HD103SJ / HD105SI)
• F3EG (HD153WI / HD203WI)

Start by downloading the boot CD (13.6MB): Download UBCD-Fix (MD5: c13a63798fc5237bfb48b3d49bec6d72 18.11.2011)

`Well I don`t have a cd burner in my pc, so I need to made a bootable usb from this download. See below how to do that, and how you can get your drive visable and working again.`

At first, download the program “unetbootin-windows-563” http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/
Start the program, select diskimage, and next to that choose ISO, and next to that choose the UBCD-Fix that you just downloaded. Select the USB-station (Location where your usb drive is). When this is ready, you have a nice working booting usb stick with the firmware on it.


How to:

1. Restart your PC and boot from the CD (You may have to change the boot order in your bios)’
2. At the boot menu select UBCD FreeDOS R1.37 (Based on NwDsk V3.40).
3. Another menu might pop up, just select the first option.
4. You will then come to a screen that looks like this: Please take notice of the CDDRV drive letter. Mine is T.

5. In the menu select Browse or just press B.
6. You will then be greeted with the following screen. Change to your CD drive by typing X: and press enter. Where X= your cd drive letter; which we found out in step number (T:) 

7. Now type DIR and press enter. You will see a list of  files and directories. You should take notice of the Fix directory
8. Type cd fix (yes there is a space there).
9. Notice: Please double check your model number and apply the correct firmware update:

        F3.exe = (HD323HJ / HD502HJ / HD503HI / HD103SJ / HD105SI)     

        F3eg.exe = (HD153WI / HD203WI)

10. Type F3.exe or F3eg.exe to run the correct firmware update for your drive.
11. Once the firmware is update is completed turn your system off. Apparently if you only restart the flash might fail.

Notice 1:
If your firmware version is – 1AJ10001 this update is not needed as this firmware is unaffected by the SB850/P67 SATA bug. If you attempt to flash your drive you will recieve a similar error to this:

Notice 2:
Just a quick note for those guys that have problems with recognizing HD103SJ in BIOS : disconnect the SATA cable and power on the machine until the disk is fully up (about 11 seconds) .Then reconnect SATA cable and do the reset .
Now your drive should be visible in BIOS and flashing of the drive might be possible !

The loader does work with SP1.

What if de loader doesn`t work as it supposed to

If you've previously tried different ways to activate and you've installed SP1 and you're suddenly not genuine then check how clean your system is by downloading MGADiag.

Usage:

• Press the copy button

• Open up notepad and then select to paste

• Check the Windows License Type is OEM SLP

• Check to make sure File Scan Data is either blank or all files have the code 0x80070003

• Check HrOffline and HrOnline are 0x00000000

• Check the Windows marker version is 0x20001

• Check OEMID and OEMTableID Consistent says yes

If the Windows marker verison says 0x20001 and the OEMID & OEMTableID are consistent then the loader is working and the fault is with your setup.

How to clean up:

• Download WAT Fix (Any anti-virus detection is a false positive)

• Validate online (May need to use IE)

• If it still fails do a repair install (Which preserves your files and programs. This may not work as it needs SP1 from MS) or format

Be smart about what you install on your system. Don't install one thing after another until you find one that "works" because the odds are you're going to end up with the most problems.

Er is weer een WGA Crack voor de nieuwste updates van Windows Genuine, deze is nu aanbeland bij versie 1.9.42.0.

Volgens de bronnen op internet zou deze geschikt moeten zijn voor Windows XP, Vista en 7. Aangezien ik het alleen op XP heb uitgeprobeerd, heb ik geen idee of het onder de andere versies werkt, proberen dus maar.

Sinds een paar maanden heb ik dus de ASUS EeePC 1101HA, een leuk dingetje waar je eenvoudig op kan internetten, mailen en een briefje tikken.

Onlangs ben ik eens bezig geweest met Hackintosh en heb het compleet aan het werk gekregen minus het wireless (Atheros AP9285) en ethernet gedeelte (Atheros AP8132). Leuk dus maar niet bruikbaar voor mij, aangezien het netwerkgedeelte het toch zeker wel moet doen anders is zo`n ding niet echt bruikbaar.

Aangezien ik tijdens de installatie de complete partitie had gewist, blijkbaar ook het restore gedeelte om Windows 7 opnieuw te installeren, had ik dus een probleempje om dit weer aan de gang te krijgen.

Het is gelukt en het is toch makkelijker dan ik in eerste instantie gedacht had.

Als je er genoeg van hebt, om bij elke start van een programma het UAC (User Account Control) schermpje te zien te krijgen, is ReplaceUAC een zeer handige optie. Je stelt eenmalig in of je toegang mag hebben en daarna heb je er geen last meer van.

Werkt onder vanaf Windows 2000 en hoger.
